Hi-Shear Technology Corporation (Hi-Shear), part of Chemring Group PLC , provides pyrotechnic, mechanical, and electronic products to the aerospace and defense markets in applications where safety, performance and high reliability are essential.  We develop and produce advanced systems and products that are used worldwide in space exploration vehicles, satellites, launch vehicles, defensive & offensive missile systems, tactical weapons, and first-line fighter aircraft.

Santa Clarita - 12 acres for pyrotechnic mixing, blending and storage
Manufacturing: 50,000 SF production area in Torrance
Precision Machining: All metals (including specialty metals) non-metallics & plastics

Quality System: ISO 9001-2008 / AS 9100 Rev. B (Rev C in 2012)
Space Environmental Testing: Explosive Firing, Temperature, Humidity, Hydraulic, Vibration/Shock, X-ray, Acceleration, Helium Leak
