| Lightweight, reliable pyrovalves are critical to the liquid and gaseous fluid systems of launch vehicles, spacecraft and undersea vehicles. Hi-Shear designed, developed, and fabricated a normally-opened valve to be redundantly actuated by our PC23 Initiator (NASA Standard Initiator equivalent). The SV-101 and SV 102 valves are fully qualified for use on the General Dynamics Tomahawk Cruise Missile. The valve assembly is comprised of five major components: two PC23 initiator assemblies, two trigger assemblies and the ported normally-open body. The valve combustion gases are fully contained. These valves can be either designed in 'normally open' or 'normally closed' configurations. |
