Non-Pyrotechnic Separation Nuts
| Hi-Shear has developed an extreme low-shock output, non-explosive separation nut (SN9700 series). These nuts are actuated by a miniature electric motor on low energy with large bolt insertion tolerance. Unique features include 25 times resettable and reusability and no need for disassembly. The SN9700 series separation nut uses a 45-year heritage of internal components that have reliably performed on the Atlas, Delta and Titan family of launch vehicles and on space exploration vehicles and satellites world wide. |
