Thrusters

Thrusters push apart structural elements or to eject fastened components. Many types of vehicles have long used our thrusters. As with our pyrotechnic devices, thrusters are designed to withstand the severe environments of aerospace use.

Prior to actuation, the thruster serves as a mechanical fastener. It is actuated by a command signal delivered to a power cartridge or explosive end-tip. The gas energy is instantly released into a simple, highly reliable piston assembly which slides outward to apply a useable separation force.
