On July 2, 2005, NASA successfully
launched an armchair-sized "impactor" into Comet Tempel 1. Hi-Shear's
1/2-inch separation nuts and NSIs (NASA Standard Initiators) were used
by the Deep Impact Space Probe and performed flawlessly.
Hi-Shear continues to support NASA and scientific space exploration missions.
