The successful Cassini Mission uses Hi-Shear NSIs (NASA Standard Initiators) on the spacecraft. The Cassini was launched by a TITAN IV vehicle, built by Lockheed Martin in Denver, CO. The TITAN IV three part fairing is separated by Hi-Shear built 5/8-inch and 1-1/4-inch separation nuts. |
